About me

Dr. Ramyah Al-Maliki is a Family Physician with broad clinical experience in both community family medicine and acute hospital care. She is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and holds the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC).

Her clinical interests include women’s health, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and comprehensive primary care. She values building trusting relationships with her patients and believes in providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Dr. Al-Maliki is fluent in both English and Arabic and is happy to provide care in either language.

Past experience

Originally a graduate of Baghdad Medical University, Dr. Al-Maliki has pursued medical training and professional experience internationally and across Canada. She has extensive experience in acute care and hospital medicine at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, and has also worked as a locum hospitalist at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, British Columbia. She has also practiced community family medicine in the Edmonton area, providing comprehensive care for patients of different ages and backgrounds.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Al-Maliki enjoys spending time with her beloved cat, Ginger. She is also passionate about charitable work, particularly initiatives supporting children and orphans in her home country — helping others and bringing happiness to children is something especially close to her heart.
